Collanine Colorate, the Italian indie jewelry brand, is making waves with its innovative customization service. Since its launch last year, the brand's sun-shaped, gold-plated pendant has become a local favorite, reflecting its lighthearted spirit with the engraved message 'Il Sole Dentro' (The Sun Within). This resonated with customers, leading to a successful bestseller. The founders, Lorenzo Franchini and Giacomo Giovagnoli, have now expanded their silver collection with new designs and a customization service, offering a range of pendants in various shapes, from hearts to four-leaf clovers, symbolizing love and luck. These handcrafted pieces, made from silver and gold-plated silver by a Milan-based goldsmith, retail between 38 euros for a single charm and 98 euros for the pendant and chain. All styles can be engraved with personal messages, names, dates, or sentences, both in-store and online. The brand's unique appeal lies in its ability to wear single pieces or stack them with existing designs, including popular alphabet letter charms and colorful hard stone pieces. Collanine Colorate, named after its naïve moniker 'Colorful Little Necklaces,' launched during the pandemic and quickly gained popularity for its multicolor necklaces, evoking childhood nostalgia with their simple beading technique. The brand's growth was initially fueled by word-of-mouth and local influencer placements, but it has since expanded its reach with artisanal creations and an affordable price point. Franchini and Giovagnoli have further elevated the brand's image by introducing pearls, shells, glass beads, and polished hard stones, and last year, they accelerated growth with retail expansion and strategic partnerships with renowned brands like Douglas, Coccinelle, Havaianas, Harmont & Blaine, Paula's Choice, and Victoria shoes. The brand's success has led to the opening of its first Milan flagship store in the elegant Via Mameli residential area and a series of itinerant pop-ups across Italy. This year, Collanine Colorate is stepping abroad, with temporary stores opening in Madrid, Lisbon, and Paris, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion.
